TATTOOS BY LORI has been with Oldschool since March of last year.

At the studio we are fun, laid back, and always looking to make sure everyone is comfortable, and happy.

With a name like Oldschool it's pretty obvious what type of work we like to do, lets keep it TRADITIONAL.

I started TATTOOS BY LORI 3 years ago.

I am strongly influenced by Hannah Aitcheson, Nick Baxter, Niko Hurtado, Steve Moore, Horiyoshi III, as well as many others.

Hair bands OH YEAHHHH... HOT.

Consult, consult, consult. I always make sure I know the area being tattooed, so I take a tracing of the exact space to cover. And of course reference, reference, reference... you are only as good as the reference you use.

I love watercolor art, and snowboard/skateboard art of all styles.

Time????? well, I have at least an hour set aside for the consultation, and for tattoos that require multiple sessions, which is the majority of my work lately. I do 4 hour sessions generally, any longer and it's just no good.

When I started tattooing back in 1994 I was the only female artist in Victoria. So, since I have so many years under my belt, I guess that makes me the most experienced female artist in the city. How's that for a title. LOL

Seeing the client so stoked on their new tattoo is what makes it so satisfying. It makes me proud to be a part of such a versatile art form with no boundries, or limitations. I am begininng to think there is nothing a good artist can't do.
